We have several opportunities for fellowship with the members of the congregation.  Since we are all brothers and sisters in Christ and worship together, it is important that we spend time together in less structured activities than a worship service to get to know each other better.  We have several different ongoing activites that are fun and provide an opportunity to talk to people that you might not see on Sunday mornings and get to know them on a more personal basis.

Fellowship Dinner

This is a dinner about once a month, hosted by various members of the congregation.  The main course is usually provided by the host, and the side dishes are provided by the people who attend.  Following the meal, we usually play various brain teaser games.  This is an opportunity to have a good meal, share in the fun of competition, and get to know the members of the congregation better.
Tours and Trips

These are planned by the Fellowship Elder.  They have toured the Hornet aircraft carrier in Alameda, a car company, and even a winery.  They have gone as a group to see the musical show "Narnia" in Walnut Creek as well as the movies "The Passion of the Christ" and "Narnia".   There are others trips or tours that will be planned in the future.  See the Church bulletin for scheduled events.
Soup Suppers

Soup Suppers are served on Wednesdays evenings during Advent and Lent.  Members bring food to share with everyone who attends.  These are scheduled for 6:15 pm before the Wednesday services.  This is a time for fellowship and good food before worshiping together.
Church Anniversary Luncheon

Every year in October, we celebrate our church anniversary with a cookout luncheon on the lawn of the school across the street from the church.  We rent a large inflatable playhouse for the children as well as some adults.  This is another good opportunity to share some good food and fellowship on a casual basis.
Easter Breakfast

Every year we have an Easter Breakfast  on Easter morning at 9:30 a.m. which replaces the Sunday School hour.  People bring food to share with everyone.  There are nicely decorated tables and plenty of good food as well as a good time to visit with members and their families.  Following the second service, there is an Easter egg hunt for the small children.
Secret Sisters

Every year the ladies who are interested draw names for a secret sister.  We pray for them all year and anonymously give small gifts for special holidays and birthdays.  At the end of the year we have a potluck dinner and reveal who we are.  We also draw names again for the next year.  It is a good opportunity to have a friend for the year to do special things for and to pray for.  It is also nice to be on the receiving end and know that someone is praying for you during the year.

Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts.  They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.  And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.  Acts 2:46–47
